Mega Altaria is a dual Dragon- and Fairy-type Mega Pokémon available in Mega Raids.
In perfect conditions, a 2-person Raid is possible for Trainers with teams consisting of high-level Fairy-, Ice-, Poison-, and Steel-type counters such as Mega Gengar, Metagross, Mega Beedrill, & Dialga. Lower level Trainers or Trainers lacking the proper counters for a 2-person attempt should raid in larger parties (3-20).

A DAY IN THE CLOUDS
So real talk. This is not the best Mega Pokémon we have had released to us so far. But, what it is, is a dual Dragon- and Fairy-type which can use to boost those types in Raids and/or get bonus Candy from catching. Keep up to date with the availability of Mega Altaria in Mega Raids by checking out the Current Raid Boss List on our Homepage.
