Pokémon GO has just announced an eXperience Points update where the goal is to test a new XP-rebalancing system, for one week, in Australia and New Zealand. During this testing period, they are hoping to receive valuable feedback via social media, from Trainers that participate.
We’ll be conducting an XP-rebalancing test for select Trainers in Australia and New Zealand, during which, those Trainers will experience adjustments to the amount of XP they earn from activities such as catching Pokémon, hatching Eggs, evolving Pokémon, and more.
Beginning Monday, November 9, 2020, and running until Monday, November 16, 2020, select Trainers in Australia and New Zealand will be able to test a new XP-rebalancing system that will allow them to experience adjustments to the current XP earning system.
The various ways of earning include:
- Catching Pokémon
- Hatching Pokémon
- Evolving Pokémon
- and more!
It has not been made clear as to what exactly what these adjustments will look like (i.e. more or less XP) but, we assume this rebalance is in response to the aforementioned Level Cap Increase that has been discussed by different individuals from Pokémon GO and Niantic.
We can only assume that the new XP earning feature will be a slow rollout. Australia and New Zealand receiving it first. Feedback will be collected, and perhaps further testing will then be performed. We are not sure.
Daily BOX UPDATES
There has also been mention of new items showing up in the Daily Box (found in the FREE section of the in-game shop) for Trainers around the world! It seems that these new items will be more tailored to each Trainer’s Pokémon GO experience.
