Stardust Tips & Tricks
- Stack your Field Research encounters and catch them during the CD window.
- Try to CATCH EVERYTHING, not only Weedle.
- Run a Star Piece for the full 6 hours.
- Use your Incense to maximize spawns.
Instead of Lure Modules, Incense will last for three hours during Weedle Community Day hours, .
Make sure to activate your Incense after the event starts, otherwise, it will last for the regular 1 hour instead of 3 hours.
If you evolve your Kakuna between 11:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. (local time), Beedrill will learn the Community Day Exclusive Move Drill Run, a Ground-type Charge Attack!
Note: You’ll be able to obtain the Exclusive Move up to 2 hours after boosted spawns end.
Below, you can find Drill Run stats, as well as a brief analysis of how Drill Run Beedrill performs in both PvE and PvP.
Drill Run PvE Analysis
In PvE, It’s perhaps better to talk about what Beedrill with Drill Run won’t do. It won’t out damage Excadrill, Groudon, Garchomp, Landorus, and several others with access to Ground-type Charge Moves. However, being the Trainer who drops a Shiny Drill Run Beedrill into a Raid where you need Ground-type counters? Bee that person!
Drill Run PvP Analysis
|Attack IV||Defense IV||Stamina IV|
|Weedle Catch CP Cap for GL|
Drill Run won’t make Beedrill the best there is, was, and ever will be, according to PvPoke, it brings it up to just outside the top 100 overall for Great League. However, what Drill Run does do for Beedrill is to provide you with winning matchups against some of the tankier, harder to defeat foes in Great League. Azumarill, Registeel, Defense Deoxys, and Cresselia can all be taken down by BDB with Drill Run, so while it’s not the best of the best, it can certainly find its way onto some teams and is worth giving a try.
Buddy Pokémon, with a Buddy Level of Great Buddy or higher, will bring you helpful items, such as Poké Balls, throughout the event. Want to learn how to get become Great Buddies with your Buddy? Check out this Help Center article.
Community Day Box
There’ll be a special one-time-purchase June Community Day bundle, featuring an Elite Charged TM, 30 Ultra Balls, 3 Star Pieces, and 3 Incense. If following previous CD boxes, we are looking at approximately 1280 Poké Coins.
Make sure to bring your camera, Trainers. On Weedle Community Day, taking Snapshots might reward you with a surprise! If no changes are made since Abra CD, you’ll be photobombed by Weedle up to 5 times, and you might encounter a Shiny Weedle!
It was recently announced that Mega Evolutions will being coming to Pokémon GO. Guess who has a Mega Evolution? That’s right, Beedrill! So maybe evolve a few extra high-level ones for when that feature drops.
