January brings us another Team GO Rocket Special Research. As alluded to in the official blog post for January, The Take-Over Continues is this months TGR Quest line. Little has changed in this line of quests from previous months, but what has is certainly a positive. Stage 2 is where the changes lie.
Instead of spinning a PokéStop 5 days in a row, the time period has been reduced to 3 days! HUZZAH! Where we used to have to Purify 15 Pokémon, we now only have to Purify 5! MOAR HUZZAH! SUBTLE DIFFERENCES
As you can see, there only a few subtle differences between this month’s Special Research Quest Line from the previous ones, but we strongly believe these differences, while subtle, as massive. Going from having to Purify 15 Pokémon down to only 5, not only saves time but that oh so important Stardust. Cutting the Task where you had to spin a PokéStop 5 days in a row, down to just 3 days, is also a massive improvement in time management. 5 days seems like a bit too much of a time investment for this particular Special Research line, so we are ecstatic that Niantic has reduced it to only 3 days.
