Those who hold a City Explorer Pass will receive portions of that bonus as well.
For that reason, we bring you this mini-pedia to help you best prioritize your time during the Liverpool event.

City Explorer Pass Holders
UPDATE: City Explorer Pass holders will get an additional half off egg hatching distance! 2km egg will now only take .5km to hatch in your Incubators and .35km in Super Incubators.
According to Niantic’s HelpShift page, the following bonuses are to be expected for CEP holders:
If you purchased a City Explorer pass add-on, the bonus Incense and Lure duration, as well as the reduced Egg hatch distance, will be activated globally during the original event weekend, in your local time. The Explorer Raid and exclusive Field Research components will only be available during the rescheduled event. We are unfortunately unable to refund City Explorer Passes exclusively. If you would like a refund, your whole order will need to be refunded. Non-refunded City Explorer Passes will work as originally planned during the rescheduled Safari Zone event, and players will be able to buy tickets with City Explorer Passes for the rescheduled event.

The newly announced Incense Day will run concurrently with Safari Zone: Liverpool on Sunday, April 19, 2020. But fear not Safari Zone ticket holders, your event spawns will only be slightly affected. Here is a quote from the email sent out to Ticket holders.
As you may have noticed, your Safari Zone Liverpool experience overlaps with the Incense Day: Type Shuffle event. As Safari Zone gameplay will override the Incense Day: Type Shuffle event, we have made the following addition for Sunday ticket holders.
-Sentret, the featured Pokémon of Incense Day: Type Shuffle, will now appear during your Safari Zone experience. If you’re lucky, you may encounter a Shiny Sentret!
-Three additional Incense will be granted via Safari Zone Special Research.
We hope you enjoy these changes. Please follow your local health and safety guidelines during gameplay.
Tips & Tricks
Even though the event is geared towards staying home and playing, there are still a few tips and tricks we can provide you to make the most out of the 8-10hr spawn-a-palooza!
Incense: Incense last EIGHT, glorious hours y’all! Be sure to throw one on as soon as the event starts for you per your ticket’s date and time! We aren’t sure if the latest QoL feature where you can run multiple Star Pieces consecutively will be available, but one can hope. To learn more about what we are talking about, check out our article here!
Star Pieces: Granted, Star Pieces are still only 30min each but, you are going to be catching like crazy so throw them on while you can. If you are running low, you can purchase some in the shop to make sure you have enough to cover your playtime!
Special Research: Be sure to stay on the lookout for the Professor as I believe he will be available with some research to help you replenish your PokéBall stash. Don’t quote me on this as I’m not 100% sure how it will work.
Special Spawns: If you are like me, save some special spawns for your friends who either didn’t purchase a ticket or decided to opt for the refund. They will thank you later when it’s safe to trade.
Most Importantly: Stay safe and have fun! It’s not an ideal situation for anyone but let’s all try to make the best of it!
Liverpool @ Home Hype
Although our team would have loved to have traveled to Liverpool and see the sites, explore the city, and visit with their friends, we appreciate that Niantic is looking out for us and offering another solution.
Trainers, we ask that you continue to stay safe, make good choices, and think about the health of others and safety during these trying times.
