Trainers! Niantic has just released the July schedule! Included are the July Research Breakthrough encounter, four July Spotlight Hours, and last but definitely not least, Kyurem making its debut! Let’s take a closer look at what all was announced!
July Research Breakthrough
Larvitar, the Rock Skin Pokémon, will be the Research Breakthrough Encounter during July! Trainers will have the opportunity to fill out their shiny Larvitar family if they happened to miss some or all of Larvitar Community Day. That was a long time ago, newer players might have missed it. Did we mention that you get 5,000 Stardust too? 🥳

Kyurem Makes its Debut!
Kyurem, the Boundary Pokémon, will be giving Trainers around the world a deep chill by making its debut in Pokémon GO. Because Kyurem lacks an Ice-type Fast Attack move, it comes below the top tier Ice-type Pokémon in the game. As a Dragon-type, Kyurem is pretty good, although it won’t challenge the top Dragons. But, it’s a new Legendary, and a new Dragon, two things that are always very exciting!

GASTLY COMMUNITY DAY
Although Gastly Community Day is not specifically mentioned in the official July events blog post, it is scheduled to happen at some point during July. Here is all the info that is known so far.
