The Flying Cup finally makes its GO Battle League debut! First, let’s go over the rules, and they are pretty simple. You can only use Flying-type Pokémon and they must be 1500 CP or less. That’s it! Easy right? Let’s take a look at the top Flying Cup Pokémon, as listed by PvPoke.
|FLYING CUP TOP 12|
Bubble Beam/Ice Beam
Rock Slide/Ancient Power
Brave Bird/Sky Attack
Icy Wind/Ancient Power
Sky Attack/Dragon Pulse
Ancient Power/Aerial Ace
Icy Wind/Shadow Ball
|Shadow Zapdos, Articuno, and Gyarados fall into the top 12, the same movesets apply.|
GREAT LEAGUE / MORE GBL / STARDUST
Along with the Flying Cup, Great League will also be available on GO Battle Night. The same 1,500 CP or under rules applies, but there are type restrictions. For a list of the top Pokémon in Great League, check out PvPoke’s Great League Rankings.
Typically you can complete 5 sets of GBL Battles (or 25 Battles) per day in GBL. During GO Battle night, you can complete up to 20 sets, or 100 total Battles!
During GO Battle Night the Stardust you earn for winning battles, completing sets, and ranking up will be doubled! We recommend running a Star Piece during your time spent battling during GO Battle night, and that will push it to 3.5x Stardust!
If you evolve a Pidgeotto during GO Battle Night, the Pidgeot you get will know the Fast Move, Gust! Is Gust any good, you ask? Well, let’s take a look at the numbers!
A good way to think of Gust would be; it’s a slightly slower Flying-type Confusion clone. It will hit like a truck, but be pretty slow while doing it.
BATTLE ALL NIGHT
Literally, battle all night! With the maximum number of battles you can complete during GO Battle Night being 100, you could very well be battling a good portion of the evening if you choose to do so. With the Stardust rewards being doubled, it would benefit you greatly if you participate. If you love battling, this night is definitely for you!
