The New Year’s 2021 event is upon us, Trainers! 2020 is finally gone, and we will welcome in the new year with a hat-tacular Pokémon GO event. But, this event is so much more than just glasses and hats. Take a deeper look, and you will find that you can earn a TON of Stardust. Let’s dive in!

FIELD RESEARCH
We will update this section as reports of the Field Research Tasks/Rewards come in. What we know so far is that 2020 Glasses Slowpoke, New Year’s Hat Pikachu, and Party Hat Eevee will be encounter Rewards (and they CAN be shiny!).

RAIDS
Even though it is not technically a part of this event, we know Ho-Oh will be the 5-Star Raid Boss. The same goes with the Megas; Mega Abomasnow, Mega Charizard Y, and Mega Blastoise will be your Mega Raid Bosses.
Event-wise, we know the 1-Stars; they are pictured below; what we don’t know is if there will be any event 3-Star Raid Bosses. We will update this section once reports start coming in.

Rockin in the the new year
Not everyone is into hatted Pokémon, and that’s understandable, it’s not everyone’s cup of tea. However, hidden behind the glittery hats and glasses, is a giant pile of Stardust to be made via hatching some eggs. 19,200 Stardust from hatching 12KM Eggs while running a Star Piece? I’ll take that all day!
